Cairo, Egypt – November 19, 2025 — CoProduction Salon, the MENA region’s independent B2B platform for co-production and partnership opportunities across film and television, officially launched Project Salon during the Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF), one of the region’s most established industry events.
Announcement at the Cairo Film Market Stage
The launch took place on the Cairo Film Market stage at Sofitel Hotel by the Nile, during CIFF. The announcement was attended by Hussein Fahmy, Egyptian screen legend and President of the Cairo International Film Festival, underscoring the regional significance of the initiative and its alignment with the festival’s mission to elevate Arab content on the global stage.
A New Tool for Credible, Investment-Ready Projects
Designed to bring structure and transparency to the co-production process, Project Salon allows verified members to upload full project packages — including pitch decks, production timelines, and funding milestones — while clearly indicating the types of partnerships they are seeking, from co-producers and distributors to brand integrations and equity investors.
To ensure project credibility and strengthen investor confidence, entries must meet two key eligibility criteria:
Non-commercial short films, social media videos, YouTube-only projects, and heavily branded promotional content do not qualify.
Introducing Transparency Into the MENA Production Landscape
In addition to hosting projects, Project Salon provides real-time analytics, enabling users to track project views and engagement from potential partners or investors. Premium accounts offer deeper insights into where the interest originates, giving producers a clearer pathway to targeted financing and international exposure.
By curating only credible, investment-ready projects, CoProduction Salon continues to bridge Arabic and international markets, strengthening cross-border collaboration between producers, financiers, studios, and global media partners.
“Our goal is to turn creative ambition into bankable opportunity,” said Heba Korayem, Founder of CoProduction Salon. “Launching Project Salon on the Cairo Film Market stage — in the presence of Festival President Hussein Fahmy — marks an important step in building a structured, trusted co-production ecosystem for Arabic content.”
